We should try to actualize humanistic education. Respect, love, being objective, dignity, astain. Basic psychological need of people are dignity, respect, love, astain, belongingness, security. To foster the psychological growth of our students humanistic education is needed.
It has become more and more recognized that a vast majority of people achieve only a small portion of their potential. Humanistic education is concerned with educating the whole person in the intellectual and emotional dimensions. Learning is effected by how studentsfeel about themselves. Focus on the positive aspect is important. We should free ourselves of the negative by focusing on the good things in ourselves and in others. Students can flourish and grow when the focus in on the acceptance and approval.
Personal Qualities of a Teacher
• Tolerance
• Self-confidence
• Patience
• A teacher able to motivate the students
• Resillience (recover from a negative feeling as easily as possible)
• The ability to establish report between himself and the students
• Being persuasive, hopefulness, faith, determination, being consistent, fair, and to be forgiving.
